Use ski wax to protect the wood surface on the bottom, especially on the “runners,” which are a little bit thicker and get more wear than the rest of the bottom of the toboggan. Each toboggan has three runners, one on each side and one down the middle. How long will my toboggan last? Of course that depends on how you use it, but for most families, an Arrowhead Toboggan will be in the family, with proper care, to pass down to your children and grandchildren. Can my toboggan be repaired if something happens to it? Should your Toboggan be damaged, we will happily repair the item at a reasonable cost. Repair costs will of course depend on how badly damaged. Can I steer the Toboggan? Due to the construction of the Toboggan, with the inclusion of the three runners, the Toboggan can be steered somewhat by leaning. It cannot make sudden turns however and you must use good judgment when choosing the area or hill you want to go down. You should definitely have a very clear field and “shot” to the bottom of the hill with NO obstacles in the way. It is essential that you stay in control of the toboggan at all times. Should I wear a helmet? Your grandfather probably would not thought of such a thing. But, wearing a helmet is a great idea and highly recommended. Be safe! |
