Handcrafted of white Cedar planks with interior cedar ribs.  The gunwales, end caps and seats are crafted from white ash.  The inside wood is finished with Flagship (UV) marine polyurethane finish.  The outside is covered with a #10 Midwest Duck canvas and the weave is filled with a special filler for toughness and painted with a marine paint.

The cedar canvas canoes are light, strong and of exceptional value.  Wood canvas canoes sit on the top of the water and glide easily, quietly and gracefully through the water.  The insulation qualities of cedar keeps the canoe comfortable in relation to the water temperature

Arrowhead Canoes are designed to be used in three categories: Recreational/Family (casual usage), Recreational Touring (short trips), and Touring (longer trips).  The longer the boat, the faster it will go, along with better tracking in a straight line.  A shorter craft is more maneuverable and lighter in weight.  Width is also important in that a wider craft is a bit slower, but more stable.  Paddlers who will go a long distance will choose a narrower and longer canoe for the efficiency along with speed.
